Standby: When you plug the power, the blue power indicator will flash.
Start growing: Press the power button once and the light and pump will turn auto-on. Then select 1 grow mode suit your plant. Light works in a circle of 24 hours after it is turned on. During the circle it will be on for 16 hours and off for 8 hours or other combination depending on selected grow mode. There is no need to take care of the pump as it will be auto-on.
Manually turn off the pump: Pump is auto-on when the blue indicator is on. When the pump is auto-on, it works in a circle of 20-minutes-on and 20-minutes-off. To manually turn off the pump, touch the pump button once, then the blue indicator will flash.
Manually turn on the pump: Touch the pump button again, the blue indicator will be on, and the pump will start working after 5 seconds.

Just brought the Plant 14Pro been trying to get the light to be on from 5am to 9pm, by starting the process for vegetables at 5am. But the unit shuts off after around an hour.
If I plug the unit in, the blue power light flashes, I press the power button, the unit turns on, I click the vegetable button. Shouldn’t that start the 16 hours of light with 8 hours off? I’m I doing something wrong? Is this a bad unit?
